Styx: Shards of Darkness New Video Shows Concept of Styx

The Styx: Shards of Darkness new video introduces the concept of Styx.

The newest video from Cyanide Studios talks about the concept of its main character Styx. The video is called “Making of a Goblin”. Here, the developers talk about how they visualized Styx.

Styx is that “ugly little green character” that is not really a character that one would play. Compared to other characters that are “hero-looking”. Styx is kind of creepy, has a rude sense of humor but he is very nimble and his short stature can let him hide in the shadows or barrels and baskets.

The key to Styx is his stealth. He can climb ropes, hang over ledges to hide and wait then drop down on enemies for that finishing blow. Crouching with his small stature makes him a bit hard to detect as well.

Not only does the video talk about Styx it also talks about the game’s levels with its connection to the gameplay and the game’s aesthetics. Styx’s skill customization was also talked about in the video as well.

Styx: Shards of Darkness launches on March 14, 2017, and can be played on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
